Seriously.

To the general public:

Please.

Stop.

Touching.

My.

Stomach.

I am not into that sort of thing.

"Because it sticks out more than it used to" is not an acceptable reason to fondle my abdominal region.

Thank you for your consideration.

Carry on.

  1. Why do they do that? It's not like you're the Buddha and rubbing your tummy will bring them luck or something!

You need a t-shirt that says, "Touch my belly and lose an arm."

  2. No doubt. I never thought it would bother me as much as it does. But it REALLY bothers me. A lot. Even with people I hug, but especially with those whom I wouldn't even airkiss. Leave. the Belly. Alone.

  3. Okay I'll have you know that my aunt is pregnant right now, and I saw her for the first time on Fathers Day.

I fought my overwhelming desire to touch her belly because of your previous post about it.

    Thank you for enabling me.

  4. I don't know why people do this. I NEVER touched a pregnant woman's stomach - never even my best friends' when they were pregnant. What the hell is wrong with people? My mom touches mine and it freaks me out - but she's my mom. If others did it, I'd break their arm.

  5. I let everyone touch mine and I actually love it when people rub it, which is crazy because I'm SO not a touchy person usually. However, I never touch anyone else's belly or even really want to. Crazy how a bulging bump makes people lose their personal space...

  9. This made me LOLout loud (for all you Monk fans)! 10 years ago had I been able to get pregnant, I (think) I would have loved it for random people to touch my belly...But now, if a miracle happened and I did get pregnant, I KNOW I would feel the same way as you do! I have become such a germaphobe since we adopted our son!
